Obituary

Gobell, Beverly Branch returned to her Savior's side Friday, June 28, 2019 at the age of 86. She was born June 13, 1933 in Litchfield, MN. After graduating from Dodge Center High School she attended Macalester College in the Twin Cities. She received a two-year teaching degree and taught briefly before marrying Walter Gobell, her husband of 64 years. Raising her three daughters was always her primary focus. As a Girl Scout leader and Sunday School teacher for her daughters and an active church circle member, Beverly showed her love for family and faith. Before retiring to Green Valley, AZ with her husband, she was a licensed realtor. Embracing the years spent in Arizona, she continued her involvement in the community and Valley Presbyterian Church. She proudly served as the church's delegate at the International Gathering of Presbyterian Women Conference in 1994. Golfing and Bridge were lifelong hobbies that she enjoyed with her friends. Returning to Minnetonka, Beverly cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter; and siblings Bernice, Marcella, Nevah, Vic, Wayne, and Louis. She is survived by daughters Julie (Karl) Townsend, Lisa (William) Dunsmoor, Nancy (Michael) Madsen, six grandsons, five great- grandchildren, sister Betty Schneider, and many beloved nieces and nephews. A funeral service in remembrance of Beverly will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Church, 12007 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, MN 55343. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Internment and a light lunch will follow the service. Memorials preferred to Faith Church.

My condolences to the Gobell family. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of dear Beverly. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering.
